Expertise
A professional maximizer of potential, The FefCo produces — everything from content and strategy to decisions and results — for brands, companies, and individuals alike.
By harnessing over 20 years of experience spanning content, media, talent, business, events, and marketing, we utilize big-picture thinking with a honed eye for sequencing, a proven tastemaking prowess, and a deep bench of relationships across industries to connect the dots that turn abstractions into realities.
Business Growth
Capitalizing on untapped opportunity, conceptualized and built SXsports at SXSW, which became a must-attend sports industry event in less than three years. By developing a unique platform to explore the future of sport and cultivating relationships with top executives, brands and athletes, sports industry participation increased by 250%. The programming encompassed 50+ panels, featured notable speakers like Adam Silver, Odell Beckham Jr. and Charles Barkley, and generated significant revenue through new sponsorship partners.
Compelling Content
Collaborating with Katie Nolan and the team at Fox Sports, served as consulting producer for the 2017 FS1 special Rollin’ with Nolan at SXSW. In addition to developing segment concepts, secured talent like Mark Cuban, Jake Johnson and Craig Robinson, advised on strategy for navigating and capturing the SXSW experience, and produced on-site during the four-day shoot.
Event Strategy
In an ongoing advisory role for The Ringer, Bill Simmons’ sports, culture and tech-focused media company, developed and implemented a roadmap for live events, complementing editorial content and fostering platform development. Alongside The Ringer’s team, produced sold-out shows to drive brand awareness and create new revenue opportunities. Running the topical gamut from Game of Thrones to NBA in a monthly series at LA’s iconic Largo Theater, successful events also included a live taping of the Keepin' it 1600 podcast, with former Obama staffers (and now Crooked Media founders) Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, Tommy Vietor & Dan Pfeiffer.
Brand Building
By developing and executing the first proactive communications strategy for SXSW Film, helped raise the festival’s brand from regional to top-tier status, resulting in 48% increase in world premiere features from 2009 to 2014. Coupled with the comms strategy, utilized access to entertainment industry tastemakers and distributors to program high-wattage events featuring top talent, which in turn propelled significant global media engagement and increased attendance.
Talent Management
While representing A-list clients at ID like Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Paul Giamatti and John Krasinski, tailored individual publicity strategy with the ultimate objective to use media coverage as a branding tool, garnering clients desired future roles and business opportunities. In addition to ongoing publicity management, devised and executed Awards campaigns, securing major nominations and wins for clients such as Peter Sarsgaard and John Slattery, and navigated crisis situations.
